Security Statement
PayPal

For payment, we use the PayPal checkout. PayPal accepts the normal PayPal payment methods. In addition, if you are not a PayPal member and do not want to become a PayPal member, PayPal will also accept credit cards and electronic checks. We never see or archive any of your means-of-payment information (e.g., credit card number) nor do we ever have access to it. It is encrypted, transmitted directly to PayPal, and stays strictly in the hands of PayPal. And PayPal employs high quality security practices online to serve its 170 million members.
Note: PayPal uses Verisign for authentication.
Please do not send us any correspondence that includes any information on your means of payment (e.g., credit cards numbers) nor disclose such information to us over the phone. If anyone contacts you requesting such information, it is a fraudulent request and not a request from us.
We do keep a record of each customer’s contact and purchase information. We do not share, lease, or sell that information to any other organization. Occasionally, we email customers to announce new products, tell of new website features, or make other relevant communications of interest to customers. See our privacy statement for more information
GeoTrust

For website verification, we use GeoTrust, a subsidiary of Verisign. You click on the GeoTrust seal on a webpage. If the verification panel appears, you are looking at our authentic webpage. If not, you are looking at a counterfeit webpage. Be sure to notify us in such a case at:
Support@RealEstateInvestmentCenter.com
Note: We are not required to have server authenticaton as we do not transact any business via our secure servers. All our ecommerce is conducted via PayPal's secure servers.
Verisign

Our PDF ebooks and other PDF information products are signed with a digital signature authenticated by a Verisign ID. This is your assurance of authenticity and that a change has not been made to the product.
Java

Java is a long proven means of safely embedding programming into a webpage so that it cannot harm anyone's computer. We use Java for some of our calculators.
ColdFusion

Adobe ColdFusion embeds programming into a webpage. It does so by using a special server thus keeping the webpage safe and keeping the programming out of your computer.
Acrobat

Adobe Acrobat enables the encryption of a PDF, which keeps most hackers from tampering with it. We use Acrobat encryption so that it's unlikely that anyone can change our PDFs that we make available to the public or to customers.
Website Security
You assurances that a website is legitimate and safe are the following:
- The publication of contact information (phone number and physical address) on the website owner.
- A trusted seal that validates the webpages electronically and authenticates the website owner.
- A published privacy policy.
- A trusted and secure checkout system for ecommerce (i.e., for buying merchandise).
The Real Estate Investment Center dot Com provides you with all of these:
The phone number and address for the website owner are published on the Contact Us webpage.
The GeoTrust validation seal is on every webpage. Here’s how it works. Click on the seal to check the validation of a webpage. A GeoTrust authentication panel will appear if the webpage is genuine. This is supposedly the most foolproof validation system available on the Web. GeoTrust, owned by Verisign, is a trusted authentication organization. Try the validation seal on this webpage.
The privacy policy for the website is published on the Privacy Policy webpage.
This website uses Java and ColdFusion for in-page programming. Both are well-proven and secure means of delivering website functionality. It also uses encrypted Adobe PDF files authenticated with a digital signature for additional security. This is a well-proven way to deliver secure documents.
You will need to have Java installed on your computer to use the calculators on this website. You will need the Adobe Reader (7.0 or higher) to view the PDFs on this website.
